Gary Levitan, CEM, CDSM
Director of Business Development, Utility Services at Ecova
Gary Levitan is responsible for product development, client management and general business strategy for Ecova’s portfolio of electric and gas utilities throughout the east. Using insights based on consumption, cost and carbon footprint data spanning thousands of utilities, hundreds of thousands of business sites and millions of households, Ecova provides fully managed, technology-optimized solutions for saving resources, which in turn increase returns, lower risks and enhance reputations.
Prior to this Gary served as Director, Procurement for Energy and Utilities for the oldest running company in North America, the Hudson’s Bay Company (Saks 5th Avenue, Lord & Taylor, GILT, Hudson’s Bay, and Galeria Kaufhof. His responsibilities include managing the entire energy and utility budget for all three retail banners of the organization including Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor in the US and The Bay in Canada. Mr. Levitan started his career as a financial analyst for JP Morgan and moved into the energy industry as an analyst for Hess Corporation. He has extensive experience in energy and natural gas procurement in all deregulated markets in the US and Canada. Gary received his BA from the University of Delaware.
