Scholarship Opportunity

In September 1994, NAPM-Seven Counties established the NAPM-Seven Counties “Patricia A. Scalzo Memorial Scholarship Award.” Today, as ISM-7 Counties, we carry on that award in remembrance of Pat, who touched so many of us with her friendly, outgoing personality. She was a mentor to many of us and she inspired all of us. Pat was a true believer in NAPM (now ISM) and the educational benefits the organization provided its membership and we are pleased to continue this scholarship in her memory.

There are two types of scholarships to our members, their spouses and/or their children and grandchildren:

  • Full-time student – The student must be taking a minimum of 12 credits per semester and must be attending an accredited college or university.
  • ISM-7 Counties Member – This member must be pursuing a CPSM, or CPSD Certification OR be a part-time student taking a minimum of six credits per semester at an accredited college or university.

Members must be active and their dues current. Only current members and their family members may apply. No one will be awarded a scholarship for more than two consecutive years.

The Scholarship Committee will have the authority to determine how these awards are distributed as well as decide on how the $2,000 of the Scholarship Fund will be disbursed this year. Financial data will not be required nor will it be a part of the criteria for selection. In addition, the applicant’s name will be deleted before the applications are presented to the Scholarship Award Selection Committee for review to keep submissions anonymous.

Applications are included here and the deadline is Monday, May 22, 2017. We will be announcing the winners in June.
